Immunohistochemical Characterization of Tumor-Associated Macrophages in Canine Lymphomas

چکیده
Macrophages have been confirmed to play a significant role in the behavior of human lymphomas, albeit no consistent data are so far available canine lymphomas. The present study characterizes macrophages cases nodal lymphoma and their relationship with histological grade immunophenotype. Samples from lymph nodes 25 dogs diagnosed were selected. Immunohistochemistry was used determine tumor immunophenotype (CD3 CD20 antibodies) macrophage characterization (Iba1, MAC387, CD204, CD163 iNOS antibodies). Macrophage counting performed 10 randomly selected, high-power fields per sample. Generalized linear models Poisson distribution for statistical analysis. A significantly greater number (Iba1+) detected high-grade B-cell highest amount both M1 (iNOS+) M2 (CD204+ CD163+) subtypes observed High-grade lymphomas showed CD204+ CD163+ cells recently recruited MAC387+ macrophages. latter most abundant T than In conclusion, population is which constitute heterogeneous that shows variations immunohistochemical profile according

P157: Periostin Recruits Tumor Associated Macrophages in Glioblastoma Multiform
Glioblastoma multiform (GBM) is the most common and lethal type of primary brain tumors with high rates of morbidity and mortality. Treatment options are limited and ineffective in most of the cases. Epidemiological studies have shown a link between inflammation and glioma genesis. In addition, at the molecular level, pro-inflammatory cytokines released from activated microglia can increa...
متن کاملFlowcytometric Analysis of Tumor Associated Macrophages in Invasive Ductal Carcinoma of Breast
Background: Invasive ductal carcinoma is the most common type of breast cancer in Iran. Impaired immune responses occur frequently in cancer patients, but the mechanisms of the induced immune defects remain poorly understood. It is believed that infiltrated immune cells, especially macrophages, may provide help for tumor cell growth and metastasis. Objective: To analyze the status of tumor as...
متن کاملAngiogenesis and Tumor-Associated Macrophages in Different Grades of Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma, Verrucous Carcinoma and Epithelial Dysplasia via Immunohistochemical Assessment of Expression of CD34 and CD68 Markers
Background:Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) is the most common malignancy of the oral cavity, which is highly invasive. Verrucous carcinoma (VC) is the low-grade form of SCC. Epithelial dysplasia (ED) also has a malignant potential. This immunohistochemical (IHC) study aimed to assess angiogenesis and the presence of tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) in SCC, VC and ED to determi...
متن کاملImmunohistochemical expression study of proapoptotic BH3-only protein bad in canine nonneoplastic tissues and canine lymphomas.
The BH3-only protein Bad is a proapoptotic Bcl-2 family member that acts as a sensitizer in intrinsic apoptosis by inactivating antiapoptotic members through heterodimer formation. Bad has been shown to contribute to tumorigenesis, including lymphoma formation in humans and mice, through alteration in expression or functional status. Here, its immunohistochemical expression was analyzed in cani...
متن کاملThe role of tumor-associated macrophages on serum soluble IL-2R levels in B-cell lymphomas.
Interkeukin-2 receptor (IL-2R) is comprised of three different subunits (α, β, and γ chain) and is expressed on B cells and NK cells besides T cells. CD25 is also known as the IL-2Rα chain on cell membranes, while soluble IL-2R (sIL-2R) is generated by the proteolytic cleavage of the IL-2Rα chain. Levels of sIL-2R in sera are monitored as a marker of disease activity in patients with lymphoma. ...
